Hazy shade of winter...

The StickaMera SockKlubb have released the pattern for next month and I couldn't keep the sockyarn off my dpns. The patten is called Sockor med falska flätor, Socks with fake cables and is taken from Sticka (the swedish knitting association).
I'm knitting with a solid Fabel yarn to let the fake cables be more visible the eye.

It was hard to get the right colour on the photo of ny Anais. I think this is nearly the right shade of blue with turquoise. It's colour 6834m of Drops' Alpaca.

Books in the mail!

I'm now the proud owner of these two books. There are lot's of beautiful pattern in both of them. Just look at Sigga's Bubble Pullover, and darktrico's Assymetrical cardigan, or mustaa villaa's Retro rib socks.

New Red Leaf T-shirt

Pattern: Leaf T-shirt by Melissa Lynn from Knitting School Dropout
Yarn: Kempes 2-ply wool
Needles: 4,5 mm

I wasn't totally satisfied with my last Leaf T. I thought that it rolled up too much on the bottom and I would have liked more of a sleeve. So this time i added a 2x2 rib on the bottom and neck and I knitted a sleeve also with 2x2 rib.
Now it's perfect.

My next project is a top by Norah Gaughan called Anais
If you go to Melissa's blog you can see her beautiful Anais.

Sock club up and running

The StickaMera SockKlubb sock for January is Monkey by Cookie A from Knitty
I have knitted the first one and just started on number two.
It's a fun sock to knit, but the yarn doesn't show the nice pattern as well as it could.
Makes me think of the swedish saying:

"Tack för maten den var äcklig den gör magen ful och spräcklig"
